Planning for Tomorrow Youth Organisation (P4T) is a youth-led community organisation dedicated to empowering refugees and vulnerable communities through education, livelihoods, health, and community-based protection services.
Founded in 2007 by refugees in Kyangwali Refugee Settlement, Uganda, and legally registered in 2013, P4T was born from the belief that displaced people can rewrite their narratives from a state of dependency to self-reliance, catalysing socio-economic transformations for the whole community.
Our journey so far is a testament to the fact that those who experience challenges firsthand are best positioned to create lasting solutions. Our founders arrived in Kyangwali between 1996 and 2001 amongst thousands fleeing war, violence, and hunger from the Democratic Republic of Congo, (South) Sudan and other countries neighbouring Uganda.
Rather than waiting for help, they became the help — building an organisation that now serves over 10,000 people annually.
"There is Nothing for us without us."
This principle guides our Community-Based Protection approach, where refugees and host community members lead program development, implementation, and decision-making.
To empower youth and vulnerable persons to enhance well-being and foster self-reliance.
To be a community of inspired socio-economic change-makers devoted to inclusive, equitable, and dignified access to quality services.
